There are fungicides. They work. But using them on mushrooms is like nuking a mosquito. The mushroom itself is just the tip of the iceberg.
Chemicals also kill the good fungi. Your lawn needs good fungi to breathe. Use them only if you have a fairy ring that won't quit. A fairy ring looks like a dark green circle of grass. It’s a mushroom conspiracy.
Try the baking soda trick
Mix a little baking soda with water. Spray it on the mushrooms. It alters the pH, and mushrooms are pH snobs. They will shrivel up in disgust.
This is not a permanent fix. It’s a gentle "please leave" note. But it’s fun to watch them deflate.
