We all know that airlines love their fees, and Aer Lingus is no exception. If you need to check a second bag, it'll cost you around $60. But, if you're planning on bringing a special item like a bike or a musical instrument, be prepared to shell out up to $150. On the bright side, you'll be the coolest cat on the plane with your saxophone in tow.
And, because we all love a good surprise, Aer Lingus also has a >";fee for excess baggage weight. So, if your bag weighs more than 50 pounds, you'll be charged around $60 for every extra 10 pounds. Just think of it as a motivational weight-loss program for your luggage.

But, don't worry, Aer Lingus isn't all about taking your money. They also offer a ">"pre-pay bag" option, which allows you to pay for your checked bags online in advance and save up to 50% on fees. It's like finding a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but instead of gold, it's just a slightly cheaper bag fee.
