Let’s be real—Amazon has been playing aggressive pricing games for years, but this one feels personal. The Fire TV Stick 4K Plus normally sits around $50, but now it’s dipping to $24.99 or even less during flash deals. You almost feel guilty, like you’re stealing a piece of tech from Jeff Bezos’s personal stash. (I don’t, actually. Not even a little.)
Why the sudden generosity? Maybe Amazon is clearing inventory for a new model, or maybe they just want to lock you into the Prime ecosystem forever. Both? Probably. But honestly, for half the price, I’ll let them track my streaming habits until the end of days.
What Makes This Stick So Special?
If you’ve never used a Fire Stick, here’s the deal: it’s a tiny dongle that turns your dumb TV into a smart one. But this isn’t just any stick. The 4K Plus supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Dolby Atmos—fancy words that mean your movies will look and sound like a mini cinema. Side note: if your TV doesn’t support 4K, buying this is like putting a Ferrari engine in a go-kart. Still fun, but a bit excessive.
The remote is also a hidden gem. It has dedicated buttons for Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and Hulu, plus a pair of volume controls. That means you can finally toss your TV’s original remote into the drawer of forgotten things, next to that old charger cable you swear you’ll use someday.
Streaming deals: Amazon's Fire TV Stick 4K Plus now $30, 4K Max now $40
