Before we dive deeper, let's talk about Kravitz's background - the guy's a musical genius, with a mix of rock, funk, and soul influences. His mom was an actress, and his dad was a TV producer, so you could say he was born into the arts. With a voice like honey and whiskey, it's no wonder he's had such a successful career.
Now, back to "Are You Gonna Go My Way" - the song's guitar riff is one of the most recognizable in rock history, and it's been sampled and covered countless times. It's like the musical equivalent of a big hug - it just makes you feel good! The song's message is all about following your heart and being true to yourself, which is something we can all get behind.

But here's a fun fact: did you know that Kravitz was inspired by Prince and Jimi Hendrix when writing the song? Yeah, those are some pretty big musical shoes to fill! He's said that he wanted to create a song that would make people get up and dance, and boy, did he succeed. The song's music video is also pretty iconic, featuring Kravitz rocking out in a sleek black outfit.
