An adult male polar bear weighs a staggering 770 to 1,500 pounds. Some giants have been recorded at over 1,700 pounds—that’s too many pounds for a single bear, but nature didn’t ask my opinion. Females are around 330 to 550 pounds, which is still heavier than a full-grown lion.
