Tervis tumblers are made from a special type of Tritan plastic. Unlike that flimsy takeout container you accidentally melted last year, Tritan is designed to handle heat. The company itself says most of their classic tumblers are microwave safe.
Imagine this: It’s a rainy Tuesday morning, and you’re running late. You poured your coffee, got distracted by a cat video, and now it’s cold. Pop it in the microwave for 60 seconds. It works. No weird chemical taste, no warping, no fire alarm. Pure victory.
But here’s where it gets tricky, like trying to fold a fitted sheet. The lid? That’s a different story. The lid is usually made from a different material, one that can't handle the microwave’s heat wave.
