Wembley has official car parks. They are secure. They are close. They are also stupidly expensive if you don’t book ahead.
We’re talking £35 to £50. For a car park. That’s more than a decent dinner!
But here’s the secret sauce: book in advance. Like, weeks in advance. If you just show up on event day hoping to pay on the gate? Good luck. You’ll likely be turned away, or you’ll pay a king’s ransom. The stadium website sells these permits, and they sell out faster than hot dogs at half-time.
Which Official Car Park?
You have choices. Red, Green, Blue – it sounds like a confusing board game.
The Green Car Park is the closest to the stadium. It’s basically on the doorstep. But that means it’s also the first to fill up.
The Red Car Park is a bit of a walk. A brisk, maybe 15-minute hike. But it’s usually easier to exit from there. No one likes sitting in a queue for an hour after the final whistle.
My advice? Don’t be a hero. Take the Red. Your legs will forgive you.
