Walking out of Victoria Park, the rain had finally stopped. The streets were slick with puddles, and everyone had that dazed, half-deaf smile of a raver returning to normal life. My ears were ringing a tune that sounded suspiciously like ‘Flashing Lights’, and my voice was shot from shouting random lyrics. Worth it.
That’s the thing about these big, messy, loud shows: they reset something inside you. You leave the park a little tired, a little muddy, and a lot alive. Chase & Status gave us permission to be ridiculous for a few hours, and we took it with both hands. Next time you see a headline, just buy the ticket. Your future, slightly deaf self will thank you.
P.S. – Bring earplugs. And maybe a waterproof poncho that doesn’t make you look like a sad baked potato. You’re welcome.
