You know the vibe: North Street is basically a living, breathing Instagram feed of indie shops and coffee spots where baristas remember your order. Connells in Southville gets that their job isn’t just about square footage—it’s about finding a place with enough storage for your sourdough starter and a window ledge for your monsteras. They understand that you’re not just buying a front door; you’re buying the ability to pop into Flour & Ash for pizza on a Tuesday without breaking a sweat.
Walking into their office is like bumping into that mate who always knows the gossip but isn’t a weirdo about it. The team there has that relaxed, non-salesy energy, like they’ve just finished a leisurely stroll along the Harbour and are now ready to help you find a place with a bath deep enough to soak in after a tough shift. They won’t try to sell you a shoebox in a flood zone—they know Southville too well for that.
Viewings That Feel Like a Chat
Let me paint you a picture: you turn up to a viewing, slightly nervous, hoping the photos weren’t taken with a magic lens. A Connells agent is there, not in a stiff suit, but with a friendly grin and maybe a takeaway coffee from Spoke & Stringer. They’ll actually listen when you say you need a garden for your dog, Cyril, who thinks every plant is a chew toy.
Instead of using buzzwords like “cosy” (read: tiny) or “character” (read: damp), they’ll casually mention that the boiler is older than your Gran but still works a treat. It’s refreshing, like finding a parking spot on North Street during the Christmas market—rare, but bloody brilliant when it happens. They’ll even laugh with you when you trip over the rug they forgot to warn you about.
