John isn’t just moving his feet. He’s writing too. He released a cookbook called John Whaite Bakes. But wait, there’s more. He’s also penning a novel.
John Whaite’s Weight Loss: The Bake-off Star Looks Different!
The novel is not about baking. It’s a dark comedy about a guy who inherits a haunted bakery. Ghosts and ganache. Only John could combine those.
He says the book is “70% funny, 30% terrifying.” Just like his paso doble wardrobe. The man has range, inside and out of the kitchen.
Fashion Fails and Feathers
Speaking of wardrobe, John has a secret obsession. He loves the most ridiculous costumes. He begged for a neon-green suit with fringes. The producers said no. He wore it anyway to rehearsal.
He calls his style “chaos-glam.” It’s a mix of dad jeans and rhinestone collars. He once wore a tie made of liquorice. That’s not a prop. He bought that tie.
And his dance shoes? They’re custom-made, but he hates them. He said they feel like “wearing angry crabs.” I think that’s the best description of ballroom shoes ever uttered.
