As of right now, no, Katseye has not been officially nominated for a Grammy. The official list for this year’s awards dropped, and their name isn’t on it. I know, I know—it feels like when you check the fridge for leftover pizza and find only a sad container of kale.
But here’s the thing: not being nominated yet is a very different story from being overlooked. Think of it like your favorite indie coffee shop. It hasn’t won “Best Brew in the City” yet, but you still line up every Saturday because you know it’s special.
Why We Even Ask This Question
We ask because Katseye has that it factor. You hear a song and suddenly you’re tapping your steering wheel at a red light. You see a performance and you text your bestie, “OMG, they ate that up!” The Grammys are the big shiny trophy we all know, like the gold star in kindergarten. We want our favorites to get that validation.
It’s like when your friend bakes a perfect batch of brownies. You don’t need a blue ribbon to know they’re delicious, but part of you still wishes the baking contest judges would see what you see. That’s exactly what’s happening here.
