Here’s a little secret: you don’t need a crystal ball or a subscription to the UConn newsletter. Just type “UConn women’s basketball schedule” into your phone, and the universe will provide. The Internet is like a helpful but slightly smug friend who always knows the answer.
But here’s the surprising fact: UConn’s women’s team has won 11 national championships, which is more than most schools have won in any sport, ever. That’s not a team; that’s a dynasty with a side of humble brag. And yet, the schedule is still a mystery wrapped in a bracket—sometimes they play on a random Wednesday at 11 a.m., which is aimed squarely at retired people and very dedicated procrastinators at work.
If you’re in a bind, just check their official website. Or, you know, ask Alexa, but be prepared for her to sass you back if you mumble. “I’m sorry, I didn’t catch that. Did you mean ‘Do UConn women play today, or are you just making small talk?’”
The Calendar is a Liar
You’d think UConn would have a simple schedule: “We play every Saturday at 7 p.m. because we’re the best.” But no, they have to throw in these random midweek games that feel like a pop quiz. Pro tip: the NCAA tournament is a whole other beast—dates shift like sand dunes, and you might need to set five alarms.
UConn basketball news: Fudd, Strong lead Huskies to blowout win vs. No
One time, I thought I missed a game, but it was actually a week away. The stress made me eat an entire bag of popcorn by myself. Another time, I showed up to watch a replay, and the score was already spoiled by a notification from my fridge. Thanks, technology.
The most reliable method? Follow Paige Bueckers on social media. That woman posts more than the official UConn account, and she’s funnier. If she’s wearing sneakers in a story, it’s game day. If she’s eating a bagel, it’s a rest day—or she’s just really stressed about a final exam.
