Here’s where your smile might fade. The Bakerloo, District, Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, and Waterloo & City lines do not run a Night Tube service. Sorry, Ealing and Wimbledon fans.

Also, fares are standard off-peak rates, not some special “night tax.” That’s actually pretty decent. Your Oyster card works just fine.
But remember: Engineering works can cancel the Night Tube without much warning. Always check the TfL website or app before you rely on it.
Why You Should Care (Even If You’re a Daytime Person)
You might be thinking, “I’m in bed by 10 PM. Why should I care?” Because the Night Tube changes the entire atmosphere of London on weekends.
It means your favourite late-night restaurant in Soho can stay open later. It means bartenders, cleaners, and nurses can get home without a two-hour bus ride. That affects your morning coffee and your Friday night vibe.
Plus, it makes London feel like a real 24-hour city. You can go to a midnight comedy club in Shoreditch or a 4 AM dim sum spot in Chinatown, and get home without selling a kidney for a taxi.
