Most purified water has had fluoride removed. That’s kind of the whole point of purifying—to strip away everything that isn’t a perfect, boring water molecule. Think of it as a spa retreat for water, where all the minerals and chemicals get a one-way ticket out of town.
But here’s the kicker: not all “purified” water is created equal. If your water comes from a fancy carbon filter pitcher or a reverse-osmosis system under your sink, you’re basically bidding fluoride farewell. If it’s distilled, the fluoride is left behind like a sad sock in the laundry.
