White rice is a bully. It kicks fiber out of its own party. During processing, the bran and germ—the fiber-rich parts—get stripped away.
What’s left? Mostly starch. Delicious, fluffy, but fiber-free. A cup of cooked white rice has less than one gram of fiber.
That’s basically a whisper. You’d get more fiber from licking a celery stalk. Sad trombone sound.
