Fanny packs are the MVP of EDC Orlando. They’re cute, they’re hands-free, and they make you look like a ’90s pop star. Yes, please. A classic fanny pack (under 6” x 9”) is totally fine, and you can wear it around your waist like a neon trophy.
But resist the urge to stuff it like a Thanksgiving turkey. One zipper compartment only, please. If you try to bring a fanny pack that’s basically a suitcase, security will give you the side-eye and you’ll waste precious set time arguing about it. Not worth it.
Want to level up? Get a clear fanny pack and you’ll breeze through security like a VIP. Bonus: you can see your lip gloss and hand sanitizer at all times. Fabulous and functional.

The No-No List: Bags That Get You Sent Home
Let’s talk about bags that will make security say, “Next!” No backpacks (unless they’re clear and single-compartment, max 12” x 12”). No duffel bags, no large totes, no coolers (yes, people try). If you bring a suitcase, you might get in… as part of the baggage claim comedy show.
Also off the list: camelbaks with multiple pockets. Stick to one pouch. And no bags with hidden compartments—they’re like a puzzle security doesn’t want to solve. Keep it simple, like a goldfish with a single fin.
One more thing: no weapons. I know, that seems obvious, but leave the pocket knives, pepper spray, and light sabers at home. (Yes, light sabers are cool, but EDC is about light shows, not light sabers.)
