Look, I’m not your mum. I’m not here to wag a finger. But if you take one thing away from this article, let it be this: slow down. On the North Circular, on any road, anywhere. That extra three minutes you save by rushing? It’s not worth it. It is never worth it.
Someone’s life ended today in a blur of metal and glass, all caught by a dozen traffic cameras. And the only memorial? A series of “Road Closed” signs and a trending hashtag that will be forgotten by tomorrow. It’s almost too ironic to be true—we live in a world where a fatal accident becomes a digital traffic jam. But for the family of that person, it’s just a blank space at the table.
