If you’re over 40, you’re already on the list. But some people get to cut the line. Lucky them.
Have a family history of glaucoma? Get tested yesterday. Are you Black or Hispanic? Statistically, you’re at higher risk. No excuses.
Diabetic? Nearsighted? History of eye injuries? Add “free glaucoma test” to your to-do list right now. I’ll wait.
But I See Fine! Why Bother?
Oh, you sweet summer child. Glaucoma starts by stealing your peripheral vision—the stuff you see out of the corner of your eye.
You won’t notice it until it’s gone. Imagine walking around with blinders on. That’s end-stage glaucoma. Not a cute look.
By the time your central vision gets blurry, the damage is already done. So please, don’t trust your own eyes to tell you they’re broken. That’s like asking a toddler if they need a nap. They’ll always say no.
