On the political front, it's been a wild few months, with protests erupting all over the world – from Hong Kong to Chile, people are taking to the streets to demand change. And let's not forget the US presidential elections, where the candidates are throwing shade left and right (it's like a real-life episode of The Apprentice, but with more tweets and fewer bad hairpieces).
But it's not all doom and gloom – there are also some amazing scientific breakthroughs happening right now, like the discovery of water on Mars (because who doesn't want to colonize the Red Planet and start a martian coffee shop?). And have you heard about the new species of human discovered in the Philippines? It's like we're living in a real-life episode of Star Trek!
In the world of entertainment, Disney is taking over (not that we're complaining or anything – who doesn't love a good Marvel movie marathon?). And the music industry is still streaming along, with Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift breaking records left and right (it's like they're trying to out-sing each other, and we are here. for. it.).
