Let’s talk about the real stars of this episode: Ozzy and Daphne. They’re assigned to watch a suspect’s house, and it’s basically a buddy comedy trapped inside a police procedural. Ozzy brings a thermos of “special coffee” that turns out to be iced tea—he forgot the coffee beans at home. Daphne just stares at him.
Then they accidentally lock the keys in the car while hiding from a mailman. They have to break into their own vehicle using a coat hanger and a granola bar wrapper. I’m not kidding. Daphne’s deadpan face is the highlight of the season.
High Potential Season 2 Episode 17 Release Date, Time, Where to Watch
By the end, they solve the case by accident: the suspect’s cat leads them to a hidden safe. Ozzy names the cat “Junior Partner.” Iconic. I need a spin-off show immediately.
Karadec’s Soft Side Emerges (Barely)
Karadec spends 90% of the episode frustrated that Morgan’s “vibes” are outpacing his detective work. He grumbles, he sighs, he drinks coffee like it’s oxygen. But then, in the final act, he does something unexpected: he compliments her.
“You’re not wrong about the hairpiece,” he mutters. It’s the equivalent of a love confession from him. Morgan nearly faints. I nearly fainted. This is the most emotional growth we’ve seen since season one.
Also, he fixes Chloe’s bike chain in the parking lot. He pretends it was for a “stakeout vantage point,” but we all know the truth. Daddy Karadec is canon now.
