Then you have the “Armadillo” boots by Alexander McQueen. Lady Gaga wore them. They look like alien insect legs. And yes, they’re terrifyingly high.
But none of them beat twenty inches. That’s the reigning champion of vertigo.
Can you actually buy a pair?
Technically, yes. But they cost a small fortune. We’re talking thousands of dollars. That’s rent money for a shoe you can hardly stand in.
And if you buy them, you’ll have to get custom-made. No off-the-shelf twenty-inch heels, sorry. Your feet need to be measured by a specialist who probably asks, “Are you sure?”
Most people who buy them just display them. Like a chandelier for your closet. Or a conversation starter that doubles as a weapon.
