An A1 is actually a fairly standard size when it comes to printing and paper. It measures 594 x 841 millimeters, which is roughly equivalent to 23.4 x 33.1 inches. To put that into perspective, it's a bit larger than a regular piece of paper, but not quite as big as a small poster.
But why is it called A1, you ask? Well, it's all about the ISO 216 standard, which is a set of guidelines for paper sizes. The "A" series is used for general printing, and the numbers get smaller as the paper size gets smaller. So, an A1 is actually one of the larger sizes in the series, but not the largest - that would be the A0!
So, how does an A1 compare to everyday objects? Imagine a big pizza box - an A1 is roughly the same size as that. Or, if you're feeling fancy, you could compare it to a large piece of luggage. Either way, it's a pretty substantial size, but not so big that you need a forklift to move it around.
