Bamboo is a genius. It’s a grass. Not a tree. A giant, terrifying grass. It can grow 3 feet in a day. You can literally watch it move.
Killing it teaches you about patience. And hubris. You thought you controlled nature. Nature says, “Nope, you just live here, buddy.”
There’s a secret joy in the fight. It’s not dying quietly. It fights back. It sends up shoots in your flower bed as a middle finger.
So, how do you kill bamboo? You don't. You negotiate with it. You fight dirty. You bring boiling water and a shovel and pure rage.
Or, you know, you could just accept your new green overlord. It makes a great privacy screen. And it’s technically a renewable resource for building a fort.
Good luck, soldier. May your rhizomes rot and your mower never break. The bamboo is watching. And it’s laughing.
