If you’re building a new house, or your current well is as old as your grandpa’s tractor, the answer is yes. Yes, it’s an investment. Yes, it’s a little messy. But it’s also the kind of project that turns a house into a home—a place where water flows straight from the earth to your morning coffee.
So, where do you start? Call three local well drillers and ask for quotes. Compare their “per foot” prices, ask about rock fees, and don’t be shy about getting a written estimate. It’s like dating—you need to find the right match before you commit.
And remember: every drop that comes out of your new well will taste like victory. A little sweat and a few thousand dollars now can buy you decades of freedom, laughter, and the best water you’ve ever had. Go ahead—dig in! Your future self (and your garden) will thank you.
