Let’s put that cash in perspective. With the base fee of £25,000, you could buy 5,000 cups of tea from Greggs, or 2,500 glittery headpieces. If you’re the winner with £150,000, you could buy a small flock of alpacas (they cost about £1,500 each). Or, you know, a very nice car.
But here’s the twist: many contestants say the real payment is the experience and the body transformation. That’s a nice thought, but I bet they still cash the cheque with a smile.
