Don’t freak out if your first reading is a 5.5. That’s normal for first morning urine. Your kidneys work overnight to flush out acid, so morning pee is always more acidic. Test again later in the day after veggies and water, and you’ll see a different story.
Also, strips aren’t perfect. Cheap ones can be glitchy. The color changes fast—like a chameleon on caffeine. Read the color within the first 15–30 seconds, or you’ll get a lie.
And remember: your body doesn’t care about trendy alkaline water. It cares about you eating whole foods, drinking water, and breathing. pH testing is just a mirror—not a report card.
