Students, your situation is way less dramatic. You can’t truly delete a class, but you can archive it. Archiving is like putting an old t-shirt in a box under your bed. It’s still yours, but you won’t trip over it every day.
On your Google Classroom homepage, find the class you want to say goodbye to. Look for the little three dots in the top right corner of that class card. Click them.
From the dropdown menu, select “Archive.” The class will instantly vanish from your main view. No warning pop-up. No tears. It just disappears like my motivation on a Monday morning.

If you ever have a crisis of faith and need to see that archived class again, go to the hamburger menu (the three lines in the top left corner). Scroll down and click Archived Classes. There it is, waiting for you, like an ex you’re still friends with on Instagram.
To truly remove it from your life forever, open that archived class, click the three dots again, and select Unenroll. This is the final breakup. No more notifications. No more reminders. You are free.
