Once dried, put your seeds in a paper envelope or a glass jar. Avoid plastic bags—they trap moisture and turn your seeds into a science experiment gone wrong.
Label the envelope with the type of pumpkin (Jack-o’-lantern? Pie pumpkin? Mystery squash?) and the year. Future you will thank present you when you’re not squinting at unlabeled seeds like a detective.
Store them in a cool, dark place—a drawer or a closet works great. The fridge is okay too, just make sure they’re bone-dry first. Nobody wants a chilly, moldy surprise.
