Wasps are basically programmed to fly toward light. It’s their GPS system. Open your biggest window wide and remove the screen if you can, or simply push the screen open outward.
Now, dim the indoor lights. Close the blinds on every other window. This creates a luminous beacon—a runway to freedom. The wasp will eventually drift toward the brightest rectangle in the room, which is now your open window.
Pro tip: If it’s daytime, point the window toward the sun. Wasps are sun worshippers in a very literal sense. They will follow that warm glow like a tourist in a postcard shop.
