You need to know how deep your well is and the diameter of the casing. If you don’t know, call your well driller or look at your well log. The math is: (depth of water in feet) x (well diameter in inches squared) x 0.04 = gallons of water in your well. Or, just use an online calculator. I believe in you.
Once you know the gallons, add 1 quart of bleach for every 100 gallons of water. For most homes, that’s about 3-4 quarts. Too much bleach can damage your pump and pipes. Too little does nothing. Goldilocks your bleach—not too much, not too little.
