Ugh, the hard part. Both sides have points. Royal Mail is losing money because nobody sends letters anymore. They need to modernize, or they’ll go extinct like a dodo with a mailbag.
But the workers? They’ve seen their jobs get harder, with more parcels and fewer staff. They don’t want to be ground into dust for a quarterly bonus.
So, you pick a side. Or you just want your Amazon package. I’m not judging. I’m pro-worker, but I’m also pro-getting-my-stuff, and that makes me a hypocrite with a full shopping cart.
A Little Light Exaggeration to Finish
If this strike keeps going, we’ll all have to become carrier pigeons. Or start sending messages via trained squirrels. The Royal Mail strike is the gift that keeps on giving—mostly anxiety and a pile of “we missed you” cards.
But here’s the truth: this too shall pass. Eventually, they’ll shake hands, or someone will blink, and the red vans will roll again. Until then, pour another coffee, refresh your tracking number, and remember: it’s just mail.
Now, did you save me a biscuit? Good. Let’s hope the next article I write isn’t titled “Squirrel Training 101.”
