But, let's take a step back and talk about the history of ISU. The university was founded as a teacher's college back in 1857, and it's come a long way since then. Over the years, ISU has evolved to meet the changing needs of its students and the community, and today it's a thriving institution with a strong reputation.
One of the most interesting things about ISU is its campus, which is situated on over 850 acres of beautiful land. The campus is home to a variety of buildings, including the iconic Bowen Hall, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. And, with over 400 student organizations to choose from, you'll never be bored at ISU.
ISU is also known for its athletics, with teams competing in the NCAA Division I. The Redbirds, as they're called, have a loyal fan base and a strong rivalry with other schools in the area. And, even if you're not into sports, you'll love the electric atmosphere on game days.
