Ask yourself this: Do you watch movies at night? Do you want to see The Batman with shadows so deep you’ll feel like you’re in the cave? Do you care about image quality more than saving $200?
If you answered yes, get the OLED. It’s a massive upgrade. You’ll never go back. I promise.
If you mostly watch TV during the day with the blinds open, or you’re on a tight budget? Stick with a good QLED or LED. You’ll still be happy.
But for the love of good cinema, if you can swing it? Do it. Your eyes will send you a thank-you card. Probably in the form of a deeply, perfectly black open space on your screen. And it will be beautiful.
