Right, let’s talk loos and showers. We all know this is the true test of a campsite. The facilities are spotless. I mean, you could probably perform surgery in the shower block – if that’s your thing. It’s heated, there’s hot water that actually stays hot, and the floors aren’t a swamp. A miracle.
There’s a small shop too, for the essentials. You know, wine, milk, and emergency chocolate. It’s staffed by lovely people who won’t judge you for buying three bags of crisps at 10am. Or maybe they will, but they won’t say anything.

The Dog Situation: Yes, They’re Welcome (Mostly)
If you have a four-legged friend, you’re in luck. The site is very dog-friendly. There’s a dedicated dog walk area, and the beach is off-lead heaven for most of the year. Just be warned: your dog will come back looking like a sand monster. You’ve been warned.
Pro tip: bring a towel for them, or you’ll be dealing with sandy paws on your sleeping bag. Ask me how I know. Erm, I refuse to answer that.
