Posting dates aren’t just random numbers. They’re the only reason your lovingly wrapped scarf actually arrives before Santa does. Think of them as the universe’s way of reminding you that snail mail still needs a little love.
If you miss the cutoff for Economy Air, your package might hitchhike on a reindeer instead of a plane. And let’s be real—reindeer are slower, less reliable, and they don’t do tracking numbers.
The big reveal: what the 2026 schedule looks like
Alright, let’s get specific. For 2026, the Royal Mail (and most major carriers) typically set their last posting dates in early to mid-December. But here’s the twist: the exact dates depend on where you’re sending to and how you’re sending it.
For example, sending a card to Europe via International Standard? You’ve usually got until around December 14th. But if you’re mailing a gift to New Zealand or Singapore, you might need to seal that box by December 5th or even earlier. Yes, that’s less than three weeks away from the big day. Crazy, right?
