Here’s the ironic truth: I actually love M&S Charlton. It’s got that perfect mix of “I’m too posh for Tesco” and “I’m still using a self-checkout.” The staff are usually lovely, the bakery smells like heaven, and the Dine In for £12 deal has saved my dinner party reputation more times than I’ll admit. But none of that matters if you show up at 8:01 PM on a Tuesday and find the shutters down.
So, practical tip: write the hours on a sticky note. Stick it on your fridge. Or, you know, just bookmark the M&S store page on your phone. Because next time you’re craving a Percy Pig at 7:50 PM on a Saturday, you’ll know you have exactly ten minutes to make it. And that’s the kind of power that makes you feel like a British genius.
