Now, you might wonder, “Is this just for Catholic families?” Nope. While the values are rooted in faith, the doors are open to everyone. The Trust focuses on respect, compassion, and serving the community—lessons that help anyone become a better human.
Think of it like a tree: the roots are Catholic, but the branches welcome all kinds of birds. Students learn about diverse cultures, big questions, and how to be good neighbors. It’s character education tucked inside everyday lessons.
Plus, the Trust encourages students to ask big questions—like “Why are we here?” and “How can I help?” It’s less about memorizing prayers and more about sparking curiosity. Not too shabby for a school day.
But Is It Really Any Better?
Fair question. Critics sometimes worry that large trusts lose the personal touch. But Our Lady Of Lourdes fights that by keeping each school’s unique identity. Your local St. Mary’s still has its own mascot, uniform, and head teacher who knows your kid’s name.

The Trust acts like a safety net, not a bossy overlord. It gives schools the freedom to be creative, while making sure no one falls through the cracks. For instance, if a school is struggling with funding, the Trust swoops in with support instead of letting it flounder.
In the end, it’s about we over me. A student in one school races against students in another—and everyone cheers. That’s the heart of this whole experiment: turning competition into collaboration.
