You’re also a stone’s throw from the Norfolk Broads. Hire a day boat. Pretend you’re in a movie. Just don’t crash into a swan. They’re surprisingly territorial. That swan will judge you.
Drive further, and you hit the beaches at Caister or Hemsby. Blowy, beautiful, perfect for flying a kite or burying your dad in the sand. The sand here is that soft, golden stuff. It gets everywhere, but you won’t care.
The Verdict: Would I Go Back?
Look, if you’re after a slick, luxury spa retreat? This isn’t it. But if you want a no-fuss, fun-filled, slightly mad family holiday, Vauxhall is a solid bet. It’s like a three-ring circus where you get to be the ringmaster.
The staff are lovely. The facilities are clean. And the kids will be so exhausted by 9pm, they’ll actually ask to go to bed. That alone is worth the price of admission.
