You’d think a bus tour would show you landmarks. And it does—sort of. The recorded narration—voiced by someone doing a terrifyingly accurate Peppa impression—points out “Big Ben! It’s a very tall clock!” and “The London Eye! It’s a very big wheel!” Every child on the bus repeats this back in a chorus. It’s like a viral TikTok audio, but in real life and with digestive biscuits.

(Side note: Parents, please know that your child will ask you for an ice cream on the South Bank after this. Budget accordingly. I almost bought a £5 Mr. Whippy out of pure peer pressure from a five-year-old.)
The highlight? When the bus drives past Peppa’s World at Paultons Park. I swear, the kids pressed their faces to the windows so hard, their breath fogged the glass. One little boy whispered “Mummy, is that where Peppa lives?” and his mum said “No, honey, that’s the gift shop.” His heart broke. Then we ate more cake. Problem solved.
The Vibe: Controlled Chaos and Pure Joy
Here’s the thing I didn’t expect: how genuinely fun it is for adults. Yes, you’re surrounded by shrieking toddlers and exhausted parents who are one jam puff away from a meltdown. But there’s something liberating about embracing the ridiculousness. I ate a sandwich shaped like a pig’s face. I laughed until I snorted. I didn’t even care that the tea ran out twenty minutes in.
The staff—dressed in Peppa-themed aprons—deserve a raise. They refill tea with the patience of saints and the speed of Formula 1 pit crews. When a child dropped a scone (it was inevitable), a staff member appeared with a fresh one within seconds. Magic. Or maybe just good training. Either way, applause.
