Let’s talk about the nurses. Angels in scrubs. They’re overworked, underpaid, and yet they still crack jokes while taking your blood pressure. One time, a nurse told me my veins were “shy.” I didn’t know veins had personalities, but OK. She found one eventually.
The doctors? They’re brisk but brilliant. They talk fast because they’ve got 50 patients to see. But they’ll stop to answer your dumb question. “No, that mole isn’t going to explode.” Thank you for your patience, Dr. Smith.
And the porters? Unsung legends. They push beds with people in them like they’re steering cruise ships. “Excuse me, coming through with a potential sprained ankle!” Total professionals.
A Few Weird Details
You know what I love? The vending machine near the main entrance. It sells those tiny packets of shortbread. Who eats shortbread while waiting for a scan? You do. And it’s glorious.
Also, there’s a chapel. Small, quiet. If you need a moment to pray, cry, or just escape the fluorescent lights, it’s there. Even if you’re not religious, it’s a good spot to breathe.
And the toilets? They’re actually clean. Miracle of miracles. I’ve seen fancier hotel bathrooms with less TP. Here, they’re stocked, they’re spacious, and the hand dryer actually works. Full marks.
