Buses from the station? Yes, the 5, 6, or 7 services all drop you within a few minutes’ walk. Get off at the “East Cliff” stop, not the “Town Centre” one—unless you fancy extra exercise. The driver will look at you funny if you ask, but they’re used to it.
For the record, the walk from the bus stop to the hotel lobby is actually downhill for once. Enjoy that rare gift from the geography gods. You’ll need the energy for later when you realise the nearest supermarket is back up that hill.
