Here’s the thing about chain hotels: the people make or break it. At the Skegness Seafront Premier Inn, the staff are genuinely lovely. They’ve seen it all—drunken hen parties, exhausted parents with crying toddlers, people trying to smuggle seagulls in (I made that up, probably).
They greet you with a smile and a “how’s your day?” that actually feels real. It’s not the robotic “welcome” you get at some places. They’ll help you find the best chippy or tell you where the tide is in. They are the secret sauce that makes a good stay a great one.
A Note on the Views
Not all rooms have a sea view. I know, it’s a bit of a gamble. Some face the car park. But don’t panic! If you really want that view of the water and the pier, just ask at reception when booking. They’ll usually sort you out.
And if you do get a car park view? Well, you can play a game of “spot the other family packing their buckets and spades.” It’s surprisingly entertaining. Plus, you save money for more sticks of rock.
