Look, if you loved the original, you’ll love this sequel because it’s basically the same movie but with more glitter, more frogs, and a business lesson about incorporation taxes. It’s fun, it’s ridiculous, and it’s got a scene where Princess Tiana karate-chops a tax auditor. That alone is worth the price of admission.
Go in with low expectations for logic and high expectations for swamp jazz. You’ll leave hungry, happy, and wondering why your shadow is suddenly wearing a top hat. Don’t worry. That’s just the Facilier effect.
