So if you’re in Brunswick and your eyes or ears are starting to play tricks on you—like when you mishear “nice weather” as “ice sweater” and nod aggressively—just walk into Specsavers. It’s not scary. It’s actually a little bit funny, a little bit humbling, and a whole lot of helpful. You’ll walk out seeing clearer, hearing better, and maybe even cracking a smile at the ridiculous things we do to avoid admitting we’re not 25 anymore.
And hey, if nothing else, you’ll leave with a new pair of glasses that make you look intentionally intellectual, like you read philosophy on weekends. Even if you only use them to find the remote. That’s a win in anyone’s book.
