Carl once falls into a pit of exploding llamas. Yes, llamas. They explode. The system message reads: “Congratulations! You are covered in llama guts. This is not a buff.”
The “Sock of Silence”
Let’s talk loot. Carl finds a sock. It is just a dirty, old sock. But it gives him +1 to stealth. Why? Because wearing it “makes you smell like a foot.” The logic is absurdly perfect.

Later, he uses that sock to choke out a goblin. The system message says: “You have assassinated a goblin with a sock. The audience is confused and impressed.” That’s the entire tone in a nutshell.
It is so dumb. And it is so brilliant.
