First up, clarity bags. You’ve seen them. Those clear plastic backpacks that make you feel like you’re going to a football game or a very strict concert. The TRF actually prefers them. They want to see your stash of sunscreen and your emergency bag of gummy worms.
But if you’re like me and you hate showing the world your granola bar crumbs, you have options. Small non-clear bags are okay. We’re talking clutch-sized. Think "wallet with aspirations." It must be smaller than 4.5” x 6.5”.
I’m serious. If your purse could hold a sandwich bag, it’s too big. Security will look at you with pity and point you back to your car. Don’t be that person.
The Exceptions That Make You Grin
Here’s the good news: camelbaks are allowed! But they have to be empty when you walk in. I know, I know. You have to walk in with a dry, sad bladder. You can fill it up at the water stations inside. It’s an adventure!
What about a diaper bag? Look, if you’re bringing a tiny knight or a fairy princess, you get a pass. But expect a thorough search. They will check your wipes for contraband. Not kidding. Everything gets a peek.
Backpacks? Only if they are clear. Sorry, your cute canvas bag with a unicorn on it? That’s a no-go. It’s going back to the car to live with the extra hoodie you didn’t need.
