Greenback has the Greenway Trail. It’s flat and easy. Perfect for people who want nature but also want to finish a podcast episode. You’ll pass wildflowers and a suspiciously cheerful wooden bridge.

Watch out for the local deer—they cross the trail with zero traffic awareness. They’re the town’s original jaywalkers.
Bring a blanket and sit by the creek. The sound of water is basically nature’s ASMR. You might fall asleep. That’s fine. The squirrels will watch over you.
Crazy Antics at “The Big Oak”
It’s a giant oak tree on Main Street. Locals say it’s over 400 years old. It’s seen everything: wagon trains, UFO sightings (allegedly), and one very dramatic squirrel divorce in 2012.
Touch the bark and make a wish. The rule: your wish has to involve something silly. “I wish for unlimited pie” is a classic. “I wish to find a matching sock” is ambitious.
The tree is also a meeting spot for local kids. Sometimes they hang a tire swing. Sometimes they just stare at clouds. It’s refreshingly low-tech.
