Now, let’s talk about Liverpool Street. This is the station you use when you’re feeling slightly lost, or when you arrive on a train from somewhere like Cambridge or Norwich. It’s a big, bustling hub—the sort of place where everyone walks with purpose.
From Liverpool Street, you’ll need a good ten to twelve minute walk. It’s not a bad walk at all. You’ll pass the old Spitalfields Market, maybe grab a flat white, and watch the city wake up. But it’s a amble, not a dash.
Personally, I use Liverpool Street when I want to pretend I’m a local. I’ll stroll down Brushfield Street, dodging market stalls, and feel very smug about not taking the direct route. But if you’re in a hurry for a salt beef bagel? Stick with Aldgate East.
