A typical day for the Edmonds PD might include responding to noise complaints from grumpy neighbors or trespassing calls from overzealous hikers. And, of course, there are always the usual suspects – like the guy who tried to break into a house using a _chancla_ (that's a Mexican sandal, for those who don't know). Yeah, that didn't end well for him.
But it's not all laughs and jokes – the Edmonds PD also deals with some serious stuff, like domestic violence and elder abuse. These are no laughing matters, and the police take them very seriously. In fact, they have a whole task force dedicated to dealing with these kinds of issues.
