Feeling weak as a wet noodle? 2 Corinthians 12:9 has a plot twist: “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” Basically, when you’re at zero, God’s power plugs in like a backup generator. Paul wrote this while dealing with a “thorn in the flesh”—scholars argue if it was bad eyesight, migraines, or a literal demon. Whatever it was, he turned his weakness into a superhero origin story.
So go ahead, burn the toast. Pull up a verse from the KJV. You’ll get Elizabethan English, zero filler, and the spiritual equivalent of a pep talk from a time-traveling grandpa who’s seen it all. And if you’re still not convinced, remember: the KJV has been translated into over 2,400 languages, translated by 47 scholars, and it’s outsold Harry Potter by about a billion copies. That’s a lot of people needing a funny, ancient hug. Take yours.
